Villa Altair'’s architecture and landscaping seamlessly combine indoor and outdoor living. The villa’s interior design was created by the team responsible for the Royal Palm Hotel, a flagship of the Mauritian hospitality industry.

The east coast is characterised by beautiful white sandy beaches and breath-taking lagoons. The coastline and its many sheltered coves offer beautiful views over the water and boast the largest number of public beaches on the island.

Here, you'’ll enjoy cool summer trade winds, that provide respite from the heat. The scenic and peaceful setting is a reminder of Mark Twain’s idyllic description of Mauritius: "God first made Mauritius and from it, he created Paradise."

 In addition to golf, and less than 30 minutes from Villa Altair, numerous activities are available:

- Grand-Bay, the 'Riviera of the North', known for its luxury boutiques, restaurants, clubs and its marina, is 15 km away.
- The world-famous Pamplemousses Botanical Garden is 20 minutes’ drive from the villa, while the capital of Port Louis is 40 minutes away.
- Each of the east coasts’ major hotels offers a diving centre. The most famous of these hotels is the Belle Mare Plage.
- Hiking, mountain biking and quad rides are available at the Domaine de L'Etoile, Mauritius’ most beautiful nature reserve.
- Austral Skydive at Mon Loisir, some 10 kilometres away, will take extreme sports aficionados on the tandem skydive of a lifetime.
- Horse riding and excursions on horseback, as well as tennis, are available at the Club Équestre du Nord in Poudre d'Or, 12 kilometres away.
- Ile aux Cerfs at Trou d'Eau Douce is a major tourist attraction and is reachable within 30 minutes by car.

Working hours: 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Saturday, except public holidays.

Our staff fees are included in the apartment's rental. Tipping is discretionary. If you would like to leave a tip, we recommend the equivalent of €5 per day

Note that for the festive end of year period, there will be no service from December 24 at noon until December 25 inclusively and from December 31 at noon until January 2 inclusively. Kindly note that in Mauritius, 25th December, January 1st and 2nd are bank holidays.
